NewBeauty has revealed its selection of 16 outstanding shampoos and conditioners as part of the 2026 NewBeauty Awards, recognizing products that deliver notable performance across different hair types and concerns. From damage repair and color protection to scalp care and curl definition, this year’s winners highlight the growing diversity of the hair-care market, with products ranging from $8 to $48.
In the damage-repair category, BondiBoost Rapid Repair Bond Builder+ Shampoo earned recognition for its plant-based bond-building technology and Australian aloe vera, designed to help strengthen compromised hair.

Meanwhile, Fable & Mane Volumizing Shampoo stood out for its botanical blend of fenugreek seeds, amla extract and onion juice, offering a lightweight approach to improving hair volume.

For color-treated hair, Color Wow Color Security Shampoo was selected for its gentle, sulfate-free formula designed to maintain hair color vibrancy.

California Naturals Super Moisture Shampoo received recognition for dry hair, featuring 99 percent naturally derived ingredients.
SheaMoisture Bond Repair Shampoo was also highlighted for its ability to support damaged curls while helping maintain curl definition.

Scalp health emerged as another important focus. Nutrire S.3 Balance Shampoo for Oily Scalp combines niacinamide and lactic acid to help regulate excess oil, while Milk_shake Deep Detox Shampoo uses green tea and milk proteins to address product buildup and impurities.

VICHY Dercos Selenium Sulfide Anti-Dandruff Shampoo was recognized for dandruff care, while CeraVe Gentle Hydrating Shampoo stood out for its fragrance-free formula developed with scalp barrier health in mind.

Convenient hair-care solutions also featured prominently among the winners. Ceremonia Dry Shampoo utilizes arrowroot powder and Brazilian clays to absorb excess oil, while K18 Airwash incorporates odorBIND technology to help control odors and refresh hair between washes.

MONDAY Haircare BRUNETTE Dry Shampoo was recognized for its formula designed specifically for darker hair, minimizing visible white residue. In the solid shampoo category, Ethique Hydrating Solid Shampoo earned recognition for combining argan oil and hyaluronic acid with a more environmentally conscious product format.

The leave-in conditioner category featured three notable products: Olaplex No.5 Leave-In Conditioner, formulated to support damaged hair; Divi 3-in-1 Leave-In Conditioner, designed for fine and thinning hair; and PATTERN Palo Santo Leave-In Conditioner, developed to hydrate, reduce frizz and enhance curl definition.

Together, the 2026 NewBeauty Award winners reflect a broader shift toward personalized and targeted hair care. Rather than relying on universal formulas, brands are increasingly developing specialized solutions that address specific hair textures, scalp conditions and styling needs. The diversity of products and price points also demonstrates that effective hair care is becoming more accessible, with the emphasis moving toward ingredient innovation, product performance and choosing the right formulation for individual needs.
