The launch reflects a growing focus within the beauty industry on developing active ingredients that combine effectiveness, stability and improved skin tolerance.
At the center of the collection is 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, a stabilized vitamin C derivative that is soluble in both water and oil. According to the brand, this dual-soluble technology helps maintain the ingredient’s potency while supporting a brighter, firmer and more radiant complexion with a lower potential for irritation than certain traditional vitamin C formulations.
Brian Goodwin, international educator at Éminence Organic Skin Care, explains that conventional L-ascorbic acid, although effective, can be challenging to stabilize in skincare formulations. Additionally, products formulated at low pH levels may trigger redness or stinging, particularly in individuals with sensitive skin or compromised skin barriers. The new collection aims to address these limitations through a more stable vitamin C derivative.
The collection features two products: Vitamin C+ Serum, priced at $148, and Vitamin C+ Eye Cream, priced at $102. The serum combines stabilized vitamin C with glutathione, mulberry and antioxidant-rich cloudberry to help improve the appearance of dullness, dark spots and early signs of aging. Meanwhile, the eye cream incorporates yerba mate and cloudberry to target visible dark circles, fine lines and loss of firmness around the delicate eye area. A cooling metal applicator adds a soothing element to the application experience.
Éminence recommends incorporating both products into a morning skincare routine, followed by moisturizer and daily sunscreen. Consistent application is encouraged to support longer-term improvements in skin radiance, texture and the appearance of fine lines.
